Andy Reid

Andy Reid, known for his powerful presence, movement and technique is only one of the best dancers EVER!. His style is a balance of the refined and the eccentric, and he succeeds highlighting the wildness of Lindy Hop without compromising underlying technique. Andy has performed and taught all over the world including Sweden, Italy and France. He is a founding member of Silver Shadows, a recently formed troupe who performed in Harlem, NY at a tribute event for the surviving members of Whitey's Lindy Hoppers, and recently won the team division of the Ultimate Lindy Hop Showdown. He is alsohighly influential troupe Minnie's Moochers. Finally, Andy is also a founding member of Mad Dog!, a Lindy Hop Crew who is infamous within the Lindy community for some reason. Andy also holds a variety of regional, and national competition titles.

We picked Andy to teach because of his ability to give one bad ass private lesson.

Laura Glaess

Laura began dancing Swing and Lindy Hop in San Antonio, 2001. Since her discovery of this amazing dance, she has traveled far and wide to learn more, MORE! She has won several Strictly's and Jack & Jills, and is best known for her energetic style and joyful sense of movement and the music, invigorating her partner and the room when she steps onto the dance floor.

She has taught across the United States, Quebec City in Canada, and has been brought into Estonia, Toulouse, Austraila & New Zealand to spread her Lindy Hop love. More than bringing students excellent instruction and concepts, she also prides herself on being personable, winning "Most Accessible Instructor" at Lindy Focus VI.

We chose Laura Glaess because of her excellent reviews in the trial class of this weekend's concept.

Reuel Reis

One of the southeasts top teachers. More info to come.

In the meantime I'll tell you about this picture. This was Sunday morning of ATLX 3 I think. The ATeam had gotten Reuel quite trashed once ariving home to Javi's at 6am. I am pretty sure that Luke and Reuel ran naked through the streets that morning too. Anyways, while leaving to go back to Asheville, Luke wrote ATeam on Reuel's back while he was still asleep.

Gina Helfrich

Gina Helfrich began dancing the Lindy Hop in 1999 with the Boston College Swing Kids, where she was taught to swing out at her very first lesson. She was completely hooked and has maintained a deep (some might say obsessive) love of the dance ever since. Gina is also a talented dancer of the Balboa, Charleston, and vernacular jazz. She has studied extensively at camps and workshops across the US and Europe, including the (in)famous Herrang Dance Camp, and is an accomplished teacher, competitor, and performer of swing era dances. She also likes to DJ.

We chose Gina becuase of her awesome encouragement for follows to develope their own style.
